Cirio advisor to ENERCON in realisation and divestment of the Ersträsk large-scale wind energy project in northern Sweden

Cirio has advised ENERCON in the realisation of the Ersträsk wind project and in the sale of 75 per cent of the project to the London-based renewables investor ‘The Renewables Infrastructure Group Limited’ (TRIG). TRIG’s investment for its stake in the project is expected to be approximately €190 million in total.

ENERCON is realising the Ersträsk large-scale wind energy project (part of the permitted Markbygden 1,101 project). The company is installing 68 WTGs with a total capacity of 229.1 MW at the wind farm in the municipality of Piteå, Norrbotten, Sweden. The entire project is comprising 26 Enercon E-103 turbines of 2.35MW and 42 Enercon E-126 turbines of 4.0MW and is expected to be completed by mid 2020.

Cirio’s team consisted of partners Jörgen Möller and Anders Moberg together with associates Maria Hanbo, Fredrik Morfeldt, Sofia Johansson, Alexander Engström and Philip Tonkin.

The project was partly carried out by the team as they operated under its previous firm Lindahl Stockholm.
