Cirio has finalized a report on digital marketplaces and e-commerce platforms. The report was written in association with Handelsrådet and presented at a seminar at Europahuset on the 2 of April.
The report focuses mainly on international e-commerce platforms (e.g. Amazon, Wish and Alibaba), their growing importance in the digital age and their lack of liability with regards to consumer protection and product safety.
The presentation of the report was followed by two debates, one between relevant stakeholders and one between two candidates to the European Parliament.
