We are looking for a person interested in technology, law and privacy to join Fortum’s Global Privacy Team as a Legal Counsel. The position is located either in Stockholm or Gothenburg, Sweden. Success in this role requires persistence to solve problems, ability to engage with internal stakeholders proactively and willingness to learn and go beyond providing mere legal advice.
In this role your tasks include ensuring business alignment with Fortum’s privacy requirements, perform privacy reviews and assessments, prepare documents and guidance. Your tasks also include improving methods and processes for privacy compliance as well as carrying out research, providing advice and conducting trainings. In this role you will be supporting Fortum’s Privacy Program activities across divisions and countries. Your tasks may also include supporting and advicing on areas of law other than data protection.

We expect you to have an LL.M or similar law degree. You have at least 3 years’ experience in privacy and data protection. You also have experience in other commercial law matters.
You communicate fluently both in English and in Swedish and have good interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, you have a target-oriented and open-minded way of working and skill to co-operate efficiently in our multicultural organization. Readiness to travel will be required.
