Cloetta have a chief legal counsel in place that support all parts of Cloetta’s organisation. Cloetta is now looking for another legal counsel to strengthen the team and contribute to supporting the organisation.
What will be your role?
To create a team together with the Chief Legal Counsel to proactively handle legal issues within the group, regardless of country or continent, corporate function or area of law. You work closely with the group management team, the respective local market’s management team and other parts of the business.
The role as a legal counsel at Cloetta includes a broad area of responsibility and you have to provide independent support to the organisation in varying matters connected to different areas of law in an occasionally high-pace environment. Examples of matters that might come your way are:
- Drafting and negotiating various types of agreements (purchasing, sales, cooperation, etc.) for the various group entities
- Trademark law, marketing law and other relevant intellectual property law
- Supporting and handling potential disputes
- Internally train colleagues
- Monitor and act on new or amended legislation
- Coordination with external law firms
- Questions related to personal data
- Various other legal issues and administrative tasks
In addition to the ongoing work, you also have the opportunity to work strategically and develop, implement and communicate policies and processes in relevant areas.
The group language is English, some work is also done in Swedish and other languages that are relevant to the local markets (Dutch, Finnish and other Nordic languages), the work requires working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English. As we manage a wide array of questions, matters and projects, we value that you have a broad legal experience and a sound business understanding.
You report to Cloetta’s Chief Legal Counsel and work from Cloetta’s head office in Sundbyberg. We are located in a newly renovated office with excellent public transport options close by.
In order to succeed in this role, it is expected that you have acquired following
- Law degree (Swedish Master of Laws degree or equivalent degree) and 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English
- A broad legal experience
It is a meritorious if you have…:
- Experience in intellectual property law (primarily trademark law), marketing law and working with disputes/litigation.
- Experience from a law firm and/or have court experience (e.g. tingstjänstgöring).
- Language skills in Swedish, Dutch, Finnish or other Nordic language(s).
