Consumer Solutions is Fortum’s electricity and gas retail businesses in the Nordics and Poland. We are the largest consumer business in the Nordics, offering our approximately 2.4 million customers energy-related services. Our consumer businesses consist of several well-known consumer- and SME-facing brands and businesses, such as Fortum, Hafslund Strøm, NorgesEnergi, Göta Energi, Kotimaan Energia and Fortum Charge & Drive. Your role 

We are looking for a proactive, pragmatic and service minded Legal Counsel with excellent legal and privacy skills to join Fortum’s Global Privacy Team. You will be working closely with Fortum’s businesses to ensure compliance and alignment with Fortum’s privacy requirements on wide arrange of privacy topics including development of new digital services. Your will also support Consumer Solutions business team in Sweden on a broad range of legal matters related to contract law and sales and marketing of electricity and related services. You will work in close co-operation with Fortum’s Legal team based in Finland, Sweden, Norway and Poland. In your role, you will be reporting to the Chief Privacy Officer. You will be based either in Stockholm or Gothenburg, Sweden.

Your duties and responsibilities include providing legal advice and training on matters relating to privacy, consumer protection, marketing and electricity market regulation; ensuring and supporting the implementation of Fortum’s privacy program and privacy compliance activities across Fortum’s businesses and countries; drafting and negotiating data protection, procurement, license and digital services agreements as well as related end user agreements.

Your qualifications 

You have a Master of Law degree and preferably 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in a law firm and/or as an in-house counsel in an international environment. Readiness to travel is required.

You are fluent both in Swedish and English. You are business-oriented,  open-minded and able to provide practical and solution oriented privacy compliance and legal advice. As an organized person you are able to prioritize your tasks and manage deadlines. You have great communication skills and a team-player attitude.
