Based in central Stockholm
An exciting in-house opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Legal Counsel to join Belron, the world’s leading organisation in vehicle glass repair and replacement and home to nearly 26,000 employees across over 30 countries.
In this varied, challenging and autonomous role, reporting to the Senior Group Legal Counsel in Paris, you will be responsible for providing an outstanding legal service to our Nordic countries (Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland). In this role you will be responsible for drafting and negotiating all kinds of commercial contracts and rental agreements, checking advertisements and marketing claims (including dealing with any challenges and advertising challenges), defence of trademarks and participating in negotiations and due diligences in relation to M&A deals.
Working closely with the respective management teams you will also provide support in key areas such as compliance, new business development and quality and safety matters as well as working closely with the broader legal team to provide support on group wide projects such as corporate governance and data protection. In all of these areas, you will understand and balance the need to provide timely, pragmatic and commercially sound advice whilst still preserving legal compliance and mitigating risk.
To be successful in this role, you will be qualified in Swedish law with a good knowledge of EU legislation. Additionally, proven local experience in commercial, contract and unfair competition law is essential. You will have between 7-10 year’s experience, gained either in a similar in house role or in private practice. Operating in a highly decentralised model, you must be able to work autonomously and demonstrate the ability to build and maintain great collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including the global Legal Team who are based in other European countries.
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to understand and be aware of cultural differences in each of the countries you will support. Fluency in both Swedish and English are a prerequisite for this role but working as part of a global organization, the ability to speak an additional European language would be advantageous.
